Experts in CAD Solutions since 1994

Graebert GmbH is a Graebert enterprise. Graebert enterprises have sold CAD systems since 1983. Graebert was the first German distributor of AutoCAD. Mr. Graebert contributed substantially to the worldwide success of the product.

In 1993 Graebert separated from the AutoCAD Autodesk.

In 1994 the newly founded Graebert GmbH developed a completely new CAD Engine, the "FelixCAD Graphic Developer's Engine". FelixCAD served as the core engine for CAD application software (OEM).

Since 1995 the software is sold as a retail product under the name of FelixCAD (later rebranded to PowerCAD). In 1999 Graebert GmbH recognized the need for professional CAD systems for the growing market of mobile devices and developed PowerCAD CE, the first professional and fully functional 2D and 3D CAD System for Windows CE. PowerCAD CE was introduced in 2000 to a totally new market.

Graebert has succeeded in offering mobile professional and programmable CAD solutions for surveyors, architects, engineers, kitchen planners etc. Graebert’s mobile CAD solutions run both on standard handheld PCs (HPC/ Pro) and Pocket PCs as well as on leading-edge Windows CE integrated devices. It is at the moment the only CAD solution that runs on two both platforms – Windows CE and Windows XP.

In 2005 the existing CAD kernel was replaced with a completely new developed kernel- programmed from  scratch based on the latest technologies. ARES was born.
After five years of development, ARES and ARES Commander Edition were released in February 2010. In the preceding year more than 300 customers and software developers worldwide satisfactorily tested the software and consistently provided very positive feedback.
